What is meant by custom-made?
Each recliner is fully crafted according to your wishes, physical condition, needs, and requirements. We do not use standard sizes such as “small,” “medium,” or “large.” Every recliner is made to the exact centimetre and entirely to your body measurements.
s custom-made mandatory? Can I choose a standard version?
Custom-made is not mandatory. You can also choose a standard size.
Does custom-made come with an extra cost?
No, custom-made is included in the price. We always work with fixed prices so that you are not faced with any unpleasant surprises.
Is delivery included in the price?
Yes, delivery is fully included in the price.
I live on an upper floor and there is no elevator. How will the recliner be brought upstairs?
In such cases, the recliner will be delivered in separate parts and assembled on-site by our own technicians. This is done at no additional cost.
Are there any extra charges at all?
Yes, certain options such as massage, heating, rechargeable battery, or alternating seat cushion may involve an additional cost.
Where can I request a measurement?
You can request a measurement at any of our sales points.
How is a measurement performed?
Our consultants visit your home with a standard recliner equipped with a 4-motor system and the model of your choice. Using this standard recliner, your ideal seating posture is determined. You have full input and can indicate which adjustments should or should not be made. Our consultants will guide you by discussing the pros and cons of the different options.
When does a measurement take place?
You will be contacted within a few working days after submitting your measurement request. During this contact, a suitable date for the measurement will be arranged with you.
What is the delivery time for custom-made recliners?
The delivery time depends on various factors and may vary. On average, the delivery time is between 4 and 6 weeks.
My situation is urgent. I need a fast delivery. Will a standard recliner be delivered faster?
No, the delivery time for standard and custom-made recliners is the same. In urgent cases, we can provide a temporary recliner at the time of measurement so that you can comfortably bridge the waiting period for your new recliner.
What if my custom-made recliner does not fully meet my expectations?
Since we understand that a measurement is only a snapshot, we include a clause in our warranty allowing you to request a free adjustment up to 3 months after delivery, provided there is a justified reason.
What if my physical condition changes, making my custom-made recliner no longer fully suitable? Do I need to purchase a new recliner?
Not necessarily. Our recliners are designed so that they can often be adjusted on-site. In such cases, we can assess during a home visit how and where the recliner needs to be adjusted and to what extent this is possible. Please contact us first.
How many years of warranty does Revilax offer?
Revilax offers a 5-year warranty.
What is covered under the warranty?
Revilax provides a comprehensive warranty. There are only three notable exceptions:
- The warranty becomes void if the recliner is resold.
- Damage caused by “improper” use is not covered.
- The upholstery is not covered by the warranty.
Does Revilax make matching sofas?
Yes, Revilax also manufactures matching two- or three-seater sofas. Each end of the sofa can be equipped with a manual or electrically adjustable recline function.
Can a two- or three-seater sofa be equipped with a lift-assist function?
For safety reasons, we do not recommend integrating a lift-assist into a two- or three-seater sofa. Therefore, this option is not offered.
Is the recliner on wheels?
By default, we provide 2 small swivel wheels at the front and 2 fixed furniture feet at the back. Upon request, this can be changed to 4 small or larger swivel wheels, with or without brakes.
What upholstery and colors are available for the recliner?
Our recliners are available in washable fabric, urine-resistant, flame-retardant, easy-to-clean and disinfect imitation leather, robust strong cowhide, and urine-resistant, supple calf leather. All are available in an extensive color palette, ensuring you can always find a color you like.
Where can I test a recliner?
Most of our sales points have a recliner available in their showroom. Not all models can be tested at every location, so it’s best to contact a sales point in advance to ask which models are available.
The model I want is not available at a sales point. Can I view and test it in another way?
Yes, you can always make an appointment to visit our showroom. There, you can view and try all of our models. If you cannot visit the showroom, we can bring the model of your choice during a home visit so you can see and test the recliner in your own home.
Does the recliner require special maintenance?
No, you do not need any special products to maintain your recliner. Fabric and leather can be cleaned according to the included care instructions. The imitation leather is fully washable with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. The motorized and mechanical parts of the recliner are maintenance-free and require no special attention.
The mechanism of my recliner is starting to squeak. Can the moving parts be lubricated?
Yes, the hinge points of the mechanism can be treated with a product such as WD40.
The upholstery of my recliner creaks loudly. Is this normal?
Yes, this depends on several factors including humidity, the type of upholstery, its age, and how it has been maintained. The creaking can be easily fixed by applying brown soap (without linseed oil) to the areas where the upholstery rubs together (between the seat and armrest, between the backrest and armrest).
The upholstery has developed folds. Is this normal?
Yes, it is completely normal for folds to appear over time. The seat and backrest are particularly prone because they are under almost constant load. The way we upholster our recliners also affects fold formation. We prefer a “loose” upholstery rather than a tight one to ensure optimal comfort and functionality of the recliner.
Will fold formation cause the upholstery to tear in the long term?
No, fold formation is a completely normal phenomenon and does not result in tearing of the upholstery.
My recliner is defective. What should I do?
If your recliner is defective, it is best to contact us directly at +32 89 47 34 60. This allows us to determine the defect over the phone if possible and provide guidance. If a home service visit is required, we can schedule an inspection. Our in-house repair team will repair the recliner at your home. If the recliner cannot be repaired on-site due to circumstances, a temporary replacement can be provided free of charge.
What is the waiting time for an inspection of the recliner?
We aim to carry out every repair as quickly as possible. Usually, an appointment is scheduled within a few days after you notify us of the defect.
